Tail End Charlie: A Survivor of Stalag VIIB and Hitler’s Death March - St. John the Evangelist, London

On January 19th, 1943, a parishioner of St. John the Evangelist in London was shot down over Berlin.
Tail End Charlie: A Survivor of Stalag VIIB and Hitler’s Death March recounts the story of Charles Roberts. From his early childhood days in London, Ontario, to his ultimate decision to enlist with the RCAF on his eighteenth birthday, Charlie’s story is one of endurance in the face of unspeakable horror and cruelty. Through it all, Charlie’s positive attitude, humour, and will to live, are the qualities he credits with his survival.

On Saturday, June 28, join Charles (Charlie) Roberts and Rev. Doug MacKenzie, co-authors of Tail End Charlie, in the parish hall of St. John the Evangelist from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Charlie and Doug will be signing the books you purchase.

Price: $15.00
